It reaches between 4 and 5 meters in height, has a smooth trunk, with an open crown. The leaves are alternate, hard and glossy. Its flowers are white, small and aromatic. The fruit is a small citrus fruit with a shape slightly similar to that of a pear. The bark, which is smooth and yellow, contains vesicles full of essence.
